MFC Sponsored giveaway.

Here's the deal.  First, you first should be a follower of this blog.  On the right side, below the blog roll is a place to click and follow The Hopper Juan so you don't miss any upcoming announcements.  You then have to leave a comment here listing one off your favorite blog posts from where ever you choose to cruise the web.  Just make sure it is useful and something good to look at!  It can't be from your own blog either.  So what is the prize?

Some swag from Montana Fly Company.  MFC provided some really cool stuff and enough of it to last a few giveaways.  Included in this package is some Henry Fork HackleMidge Flash, Fish Eyez, Lucent Beads and a Small Waterproof Fly Box.  This is certainly worth the entry fee!

A random # will be generated so I won't be actually "picking" the best post or anything.  I will leave this open until next week and then do the drawing.

Thanks for tuning in and take a look at MFC flies & materials here.  Good luck!

To insert a live link in the comment, which is very helpful, type this code (1st line only) in the comment window:  (sorry, you'll have to type it in)

If I posted this in the comment box, the comment would only say "free giveaway"and when a person clicked on the link, it would take them directly to the Hopper Juan.   Like this:

I'm picky with my blogs but this keeps my attention. Fishing reports from around the state, weekly outtings, stories, photos, all to entertain and inform. This guy (and friends) know what they're doing and catch BIG fish where ever they go.

  20. Definitely MidgeMan's Poudre Canyon Chronicles. I haven't followed it for very long - but he updated it frequently with posts on many different types of flies and aspects of fly tying. He has some great technique posts on there, and is starting to put more fishing posts on, as well. From the looks of things, he is an incredibly accomplished tier, and is a great resource.

  24. I'd agree with the midge man's blog and Charlies Fly Box, they are great resources, I also have come across Alex Cerveniak's site which I enjoy. I like the pictures of the bugs combined with their life cycles, behavior, as well as imitations. Excellent resource for for learning to match the bugs on the water with the flies in your box.
