on my desk there are tied flies in bins and cups and there are half tied flies in bins and cups. Somebody better get to tying to finish up some of the half tied stuff.

Fly tying and fly fishing from the Front Range
Nice. Looks like you have some work ahead of you. I'm in the middle of a mini-hopper marathon right now. Good luck to you.

Good luck to you also!
DeleteMight need to hire an administrative assistant to organize your tying bench.

I can't afford to pay someone. Maybe they will work for free, or for flies, which will mean I will have to finish those flies. Screw it.
DeleteLooks like mine, exactly....
ReplyDeleteI doubt I have as much activity on my desk as you do. BTW, the Covey needs more flies.
DeleteHa, funny because those copper John bodies are from 2009!
ReplyDeleteJuan,
ReplyDeletegreat post, I can totally relate. My desk looks the same all the time, and have several containers of staged flies as well. I have never been OCD about my bench, and I constantly remind myself of how cluttered the late Lee Wulff's bench always was. If it works, who cares. Keep up the great blog and happy tying/fishing.
Rich-Thanks! The only thing in my life that is organized is my fly box collection. Everything else is chaos.
