Rather than give just one days notice for the Saturday tying demo, I have chosen to combine it with the tying class notice.
Tying Juan's Flies
Ghillies Fly Shop
January 15th 6:30-8:30PM
Join me as I teach you some of my favorite flies for the area. We will learn how to tie the Glossy Back Baetis, Antero Chrinomidge, U.V.Pearl Jam Midge, Turkey Callibaetis Nymph and the X2 Caddis. Some of these are older patterns and some are new. Bring your vise and tools, all the material will be provided. Call Gary at Ghilles Fly Shop to sign up.
On Saturday, January 16th, Al Ritt will be down at Ghillies Fly Shop to dazzle us with his tying skills. Al has been around a long time and he has participated in all the local and regional tying shows. His demos are always well attended and he is an excellent tier and teacher. Here is a short bio:
Growing up in Michigan I've fished as long as I can remember. While living in northern California in the early 1980's I began fly fishing almost exclusively, just shortly after I began tying flies. In 1989 I moved to the northern front range of Colorado, where Diana and I currently reside. While working in the robotics and industrial automation field most of my career, I have also worked for 2 large outdoor equipment retailers and for a local fly shop.
I've taught fly tying since 1995 both for area fly shops and independently for individuals and small groups. I've also guided and taught fly fishing for local fly shops since 2004.
Current a member of the Whiting Farms and PEAK Fishing pro staffs, a fly designer for Montana Fly Company and a published author.'
Al has a wonderful website located here: http://alrittflies.com/home
Hope to see you there!!
