MFC ties the Hopper Juan

I received a recent batch of Hopper Juans from Montana Fly Company.  Take a look and see what you think.  There have been a few changes and a few tweaks here and there that they took care of.  Now all I need you to do is to ask for them in your local fly shop.  They are available in sizes 8, 10 & 12.  I fish the size 8s most often but the 10s & 12s will work great for the smaller streams.

  4. Juan .. Looking great! Can't wait to bounce one off a big boulder in the canyon. The stretch above the cascades holds cutties that love a hopper at dusk! MFC and Hopper Juan a great match :-)

  8. How do you feel about the changes/tweaks MFC decided to make on your design? Other than the few you made with jointed legs, my untrained eye can't really see the tweaks. Good work though!

  9. Midge Man,

You just might have to give em' a try this summer! Thanks!

    Rick,
Hopefully, there will be some smaller ones available in some of the local shops for you. You'll have to check and see.

  10. Dustin,

Give this one a try and have fun with it. It is fun to tie and fish.

Brian--The catalog picture looks good. You can check it out on the web site also, but it looks good.

  11. Charlie,

The changes they made came from me. The initial production of these were good, but I had them change up a few things to more of my liking. Right now, they are as the original pattern.

If you look to the right side bar, there is a website called dream Drift Flies (DDF), that carries all of MFC's flies and materials. They should have them in stock. If not, shoot me an e-mail.

    Thanks,

    Juan
