Tying the U.V. Pearl Jam Midge Video

Here is a short video on tying my U.V. Pearl Jam Midge.  It's an easy tie and a good winter pattern.  Tie some up and give them a shot.

This is a variation of the Disco Midge that I call the U.V. Pearl Jam Midge.  It works great during the winter when midges are always on the menu.  Easy to tie, I make sure I have plenty of these on my midge box.

  1. Another great video, Juan. Love the simplicity of this pattern and looks like you could crank 50/hr out of your vice...

    Real neat.

PS: you were NEVER gonna lose it on the whip finish ;)

  2. Thanks Andy. This little pattern can come out of the vise pretty quickly. And Bigerrfish, you like my vise? I like it too! :)

  3. I like... Simple, adaptable to many different colors, and likely deadly for tailwater fishing! Coming to grips with the end of he bird hunting season. It will be back to the vice to restock and some winter fishing before long. I did manage to come up with some pretty crazy feathers this fall though. Should make for creative tying this February.

  4. Gary,

Make sure you post some of those creations on your blog. I'd like to see some of them.

David-The color is only limited by the materials you have on the bench. Thanks.
